Damien Williams, widely known as DWI or “The Podfather,” is a pioneering force in independent radio, podcasting, and music production.  Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Williams was immersed in the entertainment industry from an early age, with his mother working at a talent agency.  This early exposure ignited his passion for media and led him to establish Damatrix Studios Network (DSN) in 1999, starting from a modest home studio setup.

Over the past two decades, Williams has transformed DSN into a cornerstone of the independent broadcasting scene.  His studio has hosted interviews with prominent artists such as J. Cole, Cardi B, and DJ Funkmaster Flex, solidifying its reputation as a hub for influential voices in hip-hop and beyond.

Beyond his work in media production, Williams is deeply committed to mentorship and community development. He has dedicated significant efforts to guiding aspiring radio personalities and young engineers, fostering the next generation of talent in the industry.
